In Motion

“We are in motion!” This is my new favorite saying. For much of this first half of this year Lual and I found ourselves so busy with school and work that we wondered if we were making any headway with SSHCO.

Because our schedules are so tight we have to limit our travel and speaking engagements. However, as you can see, (left column) we are still getting around.

Recently a lot of things have begun to fall into place for SSHCO. I (Jacob) have been waiting to hear when my citizen test would be scheduled. Finally, after months of waiting JULY 1 is the date. Passing that test will permit me to apply for a passport then Lual and I can get ready to travel to Southern Sudan .

The IRS has requested additional information related to our application to be recognized by the as a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization. We are working on formulating our response to them.

In the last 10 weeks SSHCO has received or learned of pledged donations surpassing $10,000!

We are getting closer and closer to our goal of raising $50,000 for the start up costs of building, equipping, supplying, and manning a health clinic in the village of Maar in Southern Sudan.

Like I said, “We are in motion!” but that motion has force behind it. Your prayers, donations, and encouragement is helping to keep us in motion! Many, many thanks!

    Jacob, hello.

My name is, Lemeya and I just watched you and your lovely wife on Atlanta’s 57, here in Conley, GA. I just want you to be extremely encouraged in all of your endeavors! The words you spoke, and the “spirit” that you and your wife cast off, I found both humble and genuine. I thank our Father in heaven for the good works that SSHCO are performing, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Please accept this gift from my heart to your’s, in faith…
The parable that our Savior tells in the book of Matthew comes to mind…

37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’
    Matthew 25:37-40

May grace and peace be your in abundance.
